Unimaginable if we were there when a huge tsunami devastated Aceh in 26 December 2004! We are lucky, Aceh Tsunami Museum presents many data, information, and visual image about the disaster. By viewing dioramas, a police helicopter and vehicle wreckages, and mockups in the museum we can follow the natural tragedy which may has transformed spiritual thought and doing of many people in Aceh.
For visitors, it reminds about the weakness of human being in encountering natural disasters. The tsunami came unpredictably so that so many people deceased and properties were damaged. Not only for the Acehnese who have loosed their loving family and relatives, the content of the museum are very meaningful but also it may warn the rest about the Greatest of our Creator.
The only pity in the museum, it still look empty and lacks of dramatic video shows scheduled for the visitors. However the building is matched with the content and very good for kids and youngsters. Just bring your family along to this free entry museum for acknowledge the tsunami and to mind about Allah The Creator.
